Background
Eco-Agri Co., Ltd. (EAC) was established on 24 December 2015 at Ministry of Commerce in Cambodia with the purpose to strengthening sustainable Agricultural Value Chains in Cambodia through improved access to agricultural inputs and markets. EAC has built up a broad range supply of agricultural inputs for organic and GAP production. The supply of these inputs brings along with the provision of high-quality technical advice for farmers and farmer associations.
EAC and its sister company Khmer Organic Cooperative (KOC), is geared to provide a healthy agriculture chain from farmers to customers where both obtain their maximum benefits. Through farmer contract, EAC supplies local produced biological products for crop protection to farmers and trains farmers with techniques on organic farming while ensuring stable and higher income and better health among the farmer. Besides, EAC has been imported biological pest control solutions from ASEAN Member States to Cambodia.
Everyone can access safe and fresh produces for consuming through green sustainable agriculture development in Cambodia.

Our Capacity and Experiences
EAC are working to supply of agricultural inputs supporting the promotion of organic and non-chemical agricultural practices, i.e. bio-pesticides and bio-fertilizers (also for home gardening), improved seed varieties (non-GMO) and equipment (tools, irrigation systems, etc.), providing education and technical advice to farmers on good agricultural practice to acquire practical and safe agricultural skills. We are now providing quality of agricultural inputs to producers and partners in Cambodia. We used to supply our agricultural inputs GIZ, PNKS, ODOV, Helen Keller, Heifer International in Cambodia, SNV, FNN, DPA, DCA, Caritas International Cambodia, Smiling Gecko, Happy Chandara, ASPIRE Project, PADEE and Project in Cambodia.
EAC plays an important role to provide consulting services, capacity building and agricultural solutions on organic agriculture development, agro-industry crops, organic standard development and improved agricultural productivity as well as agricultural production market development. EAC has experiences with development agencies, NGOs and private sectors to provide our strong services.
Short-term Service
1. Project: Capacity development on vegetable and cashew nut production training to AC’s (5-25 June 2018) – Funded by World Vision International Cambodia (CSBD Project). EAC provided technical training services on improving agricultural productivity, pest management, quality assurance development (Organic Standard, GAP Standard/Certificate, GMP/Food Safety Standard and Market Development) to 400 farmers in Kandal, Kampong Thom and Preah Vihear provinces.
2. Project: Capacity development to Cambodian Spice Agricultural Cooperative Union (CSACU) (October 2018) – Funded by DGRV. EAC provided technical training service on improving pepper productivity, pest management, GAP Standard, Internal Control System (ICS) management to 25 key farmers in PICNIC resort.
3. Project: Strengthening value chains and food security through cooperative-based capacity building in Cambodia (October-November 2018) – Funded by DGRV/CAC. EAC provided technical training service on improving vegetable productivity, pest management, GAP Standard, Internal Control System (ICS) management, and field practice to 40 key farmers in Kampong Chhnang province.
Long-term Service
1. Project: Cambodia Quality Horticulture Project (25 February 2017- December 2021)– Funded by The New Zealand Institute for Plant and Food Research Limited/ New Zealand Aid. EAC provides technical support services and agricultural inputs to improve vegetable productivity and its quality. EAC facilitates the implementation of GAP aligned food safety practices at farmer level by training of staff and supporting the development of practical documented processes. Provide training of postharvest participants and inputs suppliers (where appropriate) in the selected supply chains on best practice requirements aligned with GAP. Develop a food safety (residue and microbiology) assurance program to assure customers of safe products-applied to each of the target supply chain. And Support the development for a wholesale markets for safe vegetables to supply super markets, specialist retailers, restaurants, institutional buyers based in Kampot province.
2. Project: Improved product quality and productivity and market access development (March 2018- December 2021) – Funded by Heifer International Cambodia. EAC provides technical support services and agricultural inputs to improve agricultural productivity. EAC also provides training on quality assurance development (EU/NOP Organic Standard/certificate, GMP/Food Safety Standard and Market Development) to farmer groups with the aim of ensuring that their products meet quality standards and enabling farmer groups to increase productivity. Within this project collaboration, KOC buys agriculture products from farmers through contract farming, including vegetables, chicken and eggs based in Prey Veng province.
3. Project: micro-franchised agricultural service expanded project phase2 (May 2018- June 2021) –Funded by World Vision International Cambodia. EAC provides technical support and agricultural inputs to smallholder farmers to improve vegetable productivity. EAC also provides training on quality assurance development (GAP Standard/Certificate, Food Safety Standard), market access and development to farmer producer groups. Within this project collaboration, EAC through KOC buys GAP vegetables from farmers through contract farming agreements in Takeo and Kandal provinces.
4. Project: Improved capacity development and market access (January 2018- December 2020 – Funded by Dan Church Aid (DCA). EAC provides technical support on improving agricultural productivity and training on quality assurance development (Organic Standard, GAP Standard/Certificate, GMP/Food Safety Standard and Market Development) to farmer groups. Within this project collaboration, KOC buys agriculture products from farmers through contract farming, including vegetables, chicken and eggs based in Kampong Chhnang and Battambong provinces.
5. Project: Improvement of Livelihood and Food Security (ILF2) July 2016-June 2021 – EAC cooperates with GIZ to implement this project aimed at improving livelihoods and food security of former landless and land-poor households in Kampong Speu and Kampong Thom provinces. EAC provides and promotes organic and sustainable production techniques for farming on residential and agricultural land to ensure long-term productivity of the land by linking to national and international organic markets.
6. Project: German Cooperation Standards in the Southeast Asian Food Trade (ASEAN SAFT) August 2016-Febuary 2018 – supported by GIZ. EAC implements this project to showcase organic best practices for the production of vegetables, fruits, and processing of palm juice and to increase regional market access. The main objective is to verifiably comply with an international recognized organic standard particularly in the production of fresh fruits and vegetables.
7. Project: Agricultural Development and Economic Empowerment (PADEE) 2016-2017– cooperated with GDA/PDAFF to implement the project. EAC provided improved agricultural productivity and diversification of income sources for rural households and enhancing whole marketing chain of vegetable productivity based in Kampot province.
